…with us at Wet Paint LA! Pick It Up LA will be hosting various styles of painting classes and mixers the last Thursday of every month at West Elm in DTLA.
I’m happy to finally be teaching classes, anyone close to me knows I’ve been planning to get started for almost a year. I’m in a place now where I’m making things happen and it feels damn good. Stars are aligning, trusting divine timing.
This class was my first time teaching a paint and sip and when I tell you I was a nervous wreck before it all got started smh, I’m really not the best at public speaking… my hand was literally shaking at the beginning messing up my brush strokes. A few sips of wine and feeding off the energy of the class cleared that right up. Watching people relax and laugh and just have a good time while painting is a top feeling. I enjoyed every second of guiding the class through the Koi Fish painting. My favorite part of creating art is how it connects me with others and this class only amplified that. I felt right in my element and eventually the flow became natural, I definitely can’t wait to do more. You gotta come check me out!
The classic paint and sip style class is always fun! But I plan to teach a few different kinds of classes… some with a more therapeutic approach aimed more toward healing and mental health, some geared towards artists and some classes for kids. My goal is to help people with art in similar ways art has helped me. More news on that will be coming soon so look out for that!
